Your Responsibilities
As a ramp agent at Schiphol Airport, you'll be at the heart of our airside operations. Your day-to-day tasks will involve coordinating and supervising the loading and unloading of aircraft, ensuring proper weight distribution and adherence to safety regulations. You'll guide aircraft to and from gates using hand signals or guide vehicles, and operate various ground support equipment. Communication is key in this role; you'll liaise with flight crews, baggage handlers, and other ground staff to ensure all pre-flight and post-flight procedures are completed efficiently. You'll also be responsible for inspecting the ramp area for foreign objects, monitoring weather conditions, and assisting with de-icing operations when necessary. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be crucial in maintaining Schiphol's reputation for operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
- Minimum 8 years of residence in the European Union (for Schiphol security clearance)
- Excellent physical condition
- Dutch language proficiency; English is a plus
- Strong teamwork skills
- Ability to handle stress and work flexibly
